Here's a comprehensive review of Trail of Cthulhu, and some interesting comments on the GUMSHOE system.

All good stuff. I've been trying to make mine more of an AP review, given that I've already run 2 games with the system. Hopefully coming soon, although delayed by domestics.

I'm looking forward to this informed review - you've done a lot of GMing of ToC

Valentine's piece is comprehensive? I'll say. I'll print it out and read it all later. Did sound very positive though. I thought 'Dusty Gamers' piece made some very good points and was terse enough that people would probably remember what he said.

I've yet to read a review of Trail of Cthulhu that didn't irritate the hell out of me.

Likewise. But anything other than compliments for my baby isn't likely to go down well.

I just wanted to say that I’ve finished reading my copy, and I think it is an excellent game. I didn’t enjoy a rulebook so much since the time I read Unknown Armies supplements.

(wistfully) And I really wish there were be some sort of supplement that focused on Bookhounds of London campaign frame in the future…
