Being in a Hurricane Is No Joke
I found this sign on a bus shelter near my office. [info]gbsteve kindly took the picture. What could it mean? I find psychogeography is a useful inspiration for Fear Itself and Esoterrorists adventures.

Update: Since this picture was taken, the note, and a similar one on a nearby phone box have been torn away.

I've seen this around Clapham Common or at least close facimilies. The content of the text is more or less the same and seems to be in the handwriting of a well known homeless person and self acclaimed important mystic; Helen Jonstants. She was often thrown out of the St Mungo's hostel, Cedars Road and crashed out on the Common even in the most dreadful weather.

I recognise the handwriting because she would try to force wierd notes in exchange for the money people gave her when she 'played' wierd noises from her 'recording equipment'. She was filthy, smelly, noisy, unintelligably scotish and carried around ratty recording equipment that didn't look as if it was working- he claimned to record sounds and noises 'in-between-the-spaces' in the nieghbourhood. She went out to record the Hurricane that flattened all the trees on Clapham Common in 1987. I nor any reliable person I know has ever seen her on the streets or Common since so I don't think this note is by her.

The other homeless persons that hang around St Mungo's claim they see her occasionally on the Common. I believe they keep her alive as a 'ghost' and forge those notes in order to elicit money from gullible samaritans in exchange for their stories.
